I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such talented students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to support the students and families.

I have been in the field of education for ten years; working as a history teacher, AIG teacher, and football coach at Gulf Middle School in the Tampa Bay area, a high school history teacher and administrative intern at the Henderson County Career Academy, and as the Assistant Director of Brevard Academy. Though originally from Florida, my family heard the call of the mountains in 2015 and had to answer. This move, though challenging, has been the greatest decision of my life. I have come to love and embrace the culture of Western North Carolina. On weekends, I often find myself hiking, playing guitar, or painting.

I view education as a life-long process and expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of The Mountain Community School this year and in the years to come. I firmly believe that students are at the center of all school-related decisions and their academic, social, and emotional well-being must be the driving force of the mission and vision of the school. In order to do this, I ask for your support in promoting excellence by having a nightly conversation about the happenings of their day and volunteering your time to assist within the school when possible.
