I am an avid hiker and runner. I thru-hiked the A.T. in 1998 and ran the Marine Corps Marathon in 2007. Now I can often be found hiking through Pisgah with my son. I am a native Texan, but I am more at home in the mountains of WNC. I joined TMCS with many years of experience in outdoor education. I have worked in residential outdoor wilderness therapy programs for over 12 years as an experiential education teacher. I currently hold a B.S. in Education and a M.Ed. in Special Education. I am part of the middle school education team and a parent of a TMCS student. My goal is to help students become life-long learners and I believe that all children want to learn. I am proud to be a member of the TMCS team and to be able to work alongside so many talented educators.
