Exploratories

In addition to Art twice per week, and PE three times per week, our middle school students have the opportunity choose four exploratories per year (one per marking period). Meeting twice per week for one hour, these classes are similar to clubs, but focus more on academic skills. Students have the chance to get to know their teachers better in a different environment. Classes are teacher-driven and student-driven, and vary in content. Examples of classes include: film and technology, forest survival, screen printing, genius hour, art-based classes, yearbook and literary magazine, make it break it fix it, and life on your own.

Enrichment

We offer our middle school students two class periods per week to work on assignments, read and receive one-on-one help from a teacher. This is also a time when teachers are able to pull individuals or small groups to either enrich their learning, or remediate when needed. We encourage all students to take advantage of this time.
